Madhu Kashyap
Managing Director
Having 3 girls studying Freestyle Dance with Island Dance over the last 14 years, no-one is more qualified to to be at the helm of  Island Dance, answer queries and to organise  events for Island Dance!! Having worked in real-estate for many years , and being involved with numerous community events in Discovery Bay, Madhu (and Sanjiv) have been blessed with beautiful, talented dancing daughters, with a magnetic flair for stage performance. This gives Madhu extra energy to care for her new baby. She cares about every aspect of Island Dance, every single sparkle ... and as a Cantonese speaker,  ‘efficiency’ is her middle name.

Melissa Thornton
Creative Director/Choreographer/Teacher
Associate ISTD

Miss Melissa – Our Resident Celebrity! Melissa thrives with an audience, and we are watching! A popular, talented, creative performer and choreographer, she has danced alongside some of the world’s leading singing superstars countless times in HK & her hometown Melbourne. Since leaving Kiss FM Radio station and hosting her own Children’s TV show in Australia, she arrived in typical style with a glamorous whirlwind in 1999. Melissa’s ‘stage’ can just as happily be a classroom with an audience of 20 enthralled 5 year olds. No one is more passionate about teaching others than this Christmas Eve born babe.  Melissa not only teaches, she also choreographs for our special events and creates concepts and produces our Annual Show Extravaganza!

Sorrel Thomas
Ballet Teacher/Choreographer
ARAD

Sorrel is a highly qualified ARAD Ballet Teacher trained at Central School of Ballet, London Studio Centre and at the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) London. Since gaining her Professional Dancers’ Teaching Diploma at the RAD in 2003, she then went on to dance professionally with various ballet companies including the English National Ballet, City Ballet of London, and the Scottish Ballet, ultimately becoming the White Cat in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Cats”, in the West End. In addition to being Daisy's mum, we are delighted to introduce Sorrel as an imaginative and creative teacher who is simply excited by training children and adults, and getting hold of feet!

Eva Guidi
Dance Teacher /Choreographer
Eva enjoyed her first ballet steps at her mum’s private dance school in Belgium. She fell in love with performing, enjoying the stage, costumes and potential fame! Eva has travelled and danced around the world performing in prestigious venues including the Casino in Monaco, La Scala in Madrid, the Moulin Rouge in Paris, to name just a few. She arrived in Hong Kong eight years ago where she joined the Creative Production Group as a dancer, costume designer and to help in all aspects of production. Now mum of Lucca and Azia , Eva and her husband Greg are settled in Cheung Sha in Lantau.  She is thrilled to be a part of the Island Dance Team and can’t wait to pass on her experience and love of dancing to our Island Dancers.

Tiffany Laue
Dance Teacher /Choreographer
Tiffany has been dancing since the age of 3! She attended the University of NSW in Sydney, Australia where she fell in love with contemporary and lyrical styles of dance. She then became a student at the highly competitive and acclaimed Brent Street Performing Arts School where she was lucky enough to have amazing tutors such as Caroline O’Conner, Kelley Abbey, Keith Hawley, Jason Coleman and Tracy Wilson. Her career as a performer blossomed from being a dancer at the opening of the 2000 Australian Olympic Games, to being a singer/performer in a famous Theater Restaurant in Sydney, to being a performer on cruise ships sailing the seven seas! Choreography  came naturally to Tiffany. In Australia, she choreographed for Kidz Entertainment and founded  Jets Dance group which toured around Australia. More recently she has choreographed shows for Carnival Cruise Lines and for Hong Kong’s 3 Arts Musical Institute. Tiffany also loves to sing and play music in her spare time and is involved in a few musical acts here in Hong Kong.  Tiffany has found enjoyment and balance in her life through her love of music and dance and she looks forward to inspiring and passing on her passion onto her students at Island Dance.

Megan Berger
Disco/Tap and Ballet Teacher
Miss Megan has been dancing since she was 3! Participating in ballet, jazz, tap, and modern from the beginning, she has always had a passion for dance. Over many summers she has attended workshops for both the Joffrey Ballet and the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance. After graduating from the University of Utah's Ballet Department with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts Degree in Performance and Teaching, she went on to perform around the world aboard Celebrity Cruises. Stopping in her hometown of Orlando, Florida she has performed at Universal Studios in their Macy's Day Parade for several Christmas seasons. She has enjoyed teaching all styles of dance along the way and is excited to be a part of the Island Dance Team!

David Escoe
Hip Hop Teacher
Born in Atlanta Georgia, David grew up in a music enriched home.  Music and dance were an every day part of life.  It was not till the end of high school that he began to take more interest in dance.  He started to dive into the hip hop culture more and more and decided to go right to the source to learn. He met up with names like Zulu Gremlin, Popin Pete, Fayzo, SugaPop and others and they took him under their wing he began to grow quickly as a dancer.  In 2006 after a few months of spending time at rehearsals he was asked to be the new member of Medea Sirkas aka Demons of the Mind. This group started in the mid-seventies and is known for pioneering such styles as Struttin, Boogaloo, and the Fillmore styles.  Escoe has been teaching and performing all over the world since. He has been seen on television as well as the big screen as a solo dancer and with Medea Sirkas. David is fluent in all aspects of Hip Hop culture and dance and is now teaching with conventions throughout the world and at a few studios in Colorado.  He teaches Locking, all Funk Styles ( poppin, waving, boogaloo, struttin, etc.) Rocking, Bboyin/bgirlin, “commercial” hip hop, Krumping, and many other styles.  David's goal is to spread his love for music and dance to the students of Island Dance!

Natasha Fox
Accounts Manager
With her youthful face, it is hard to believe that Natasha has been married to Gareth for 10  years and together have 2 beautiful little girls to be joined by one more in the coming months. You may see Natasha with her girls at classes or dashing from place to place combining motherhood with work. We all benefit from Natasha’s calm influence as she breezes into the office each day to ensure all accounts for our 1000+ students are perfectly balanced. With Natasha’s talent for all things technical and numerical, her passion for detail & being super-organised, you can imagine just how valuable she’s become to us creative souls! Since joining Island Dance at the beginning of 2008, Natasha has quickly settled into her role in our busy office.
